Mother, Wife, Doula, Birth Assistant, Student Midwife
Inspiration from the love and care I received from my first birth team drove me to dive in to the birth world head first in 2010. I am a first year student at the Midwives College of Utah, but don't worry, I still live in Olympia. Each birth still leaves me humbled and in awe by the power of each and every family I serve. I have extensive exposure to different birth environments and family needs, from homebirth, to VBAC, even twins. My desire to help each family connect with their own birth choices, has allowed me the opportunity to utilize the pregnancy, birth and postpartum knowledge that I have been gathering for over half a decade.
Prior to beginning my doula journey I taught at a preschool in Wallingford. I obtained my Certification as a Birth Doula with DONA International in the summer of 2010. I actively continues to add to my education to stay up to date on current information and research.
I reside in beautiful Olympia, WA with my wife Lauren, our 2 children, a dog and a cat. In my free time, wait, what free time? If I had free time after studying and work, I would spend it playing games with my kids, gardening, watching documentaries with my wife, and dancing to music. In addition to being a queer doula, I spend time strongly advocating for inclusion and intersectionality throughout the birth community.
